
GEAR UP SWV Announces Free Spring College Bus Tours for Students and Families

Athens, W.Va. – GEAR UP Southern West Virginia (SWV) is excited to announce a series of free college bus tours this spring for cohort students and their families. These visits offer an invaluable opportunity to explore higher education options, experience campus life firsthand, learn about academic programs, and connect with admissions representatives.
The upcoming tours include visits to West Virginia University (WVU) as well as WVU Tech and the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine (WVSOM).
WVU Bus Tour
- Registration Opens: February 2
- Registration Closes: March 1
- College Bus Tour Date: March 7
WVU Tech/WVSOM Bus Tour
- Registration Opens: February 23
- Registration Closes: March 22
- College Tour Date: March 28
These no-cost tours are designed to empower families with the information and experiences they need to make informed decisions about future college pathways. Students will have the opportunity to walk campus grounds, speak with current students and faculty, and gain insights into admissions procedures and academic offerings.
Registration is required, and spaces are limited. Families are encouraged to reserve their spots quickly. Families can register for the tour to WVU at this link: https://apps.concord.edu/forms/view.php?id=692363 beginning Monday, February 2.
